Kanban View
Overview
The Kanban view provides a visual way to track Work Items as they move through their States or StateCategories. This makes it easier to spot bottlenecks, monitor progress, and keep work flowing smoothly.

Work Item Type Selection
Use the dropdown in the top right corner to choose which type of Work Items to display (Epics, Features, or Requirements).
- Default Setting: By default, the Kanban view displays Selected Work Items - these are the items chosen when configuring your Roadmap.
Switching between work item types lets you analyze progress from different perspectives, such as high-level planning with Epics or detailed tracking with Requirements.
Roadmap Selection
Depending on your Roadmap setup, the card on the left (IP Team) shows Project (Green), Team (Blue), or Query (Purple).
- Click the displayed name: Navigate directly to the selected Project, Team, or Query in Azure DevOps.
- Arrow: Expand or collapse the card.
Kanban Status View
Work Items are placed into columns based on their current Status.
- Default Setting: Columns display by State.
- Visibility: Show or hide columns through the options menu.
Learn More: See Kanban Columns for details on configuring the Kanban status view.
