Overview​

The Data settings control how Work Items are sourced and displayed on your Roadmap. By configuring these options, you can expand visibility across Projects and ensure your data reflects the full scope of work needed for planning and decision-making.

Cross Project Queries (Pro Feature)​

  • Work item scope: When enabled, only work items in Projects where you have access will be counted.
  • Children visibility: Children of selected Work Items from other Projects will also appear on the view.
  • Build By Query: Automatically detects if a query is cross-project and fetches Work Items from Projects where you have access.
Important

Not supported in Azure DevOps Server 2019.
